Here you'll find topics designed to engage the capable to advanced English as a new language learner who seeks to perfect his/her understanding through observing and listening to a native English speaker. The videos I present will not usually teach grammar rules. Instead, they will focus on interesting ideas that capture the attention and imagination, while introducing a robust vocabulary. Eleanor Roosevelt famously said, “Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.” It is my aim to help my viewers expand their great minds through dialogue focused on ideas.

Voltaire wisely stated, "The perfect is the enemy of the good." Communicating imperfectly is essential practice, so let's not wait to speak in English! ALL people make mistakes when they speak. I, as a native English speaker, also make mistakes. In fact, I am hoping that some of my errors will be discovered here, so we can use them to learn together.
